The Office of the Provincial Engineer is one of the departments of the Provincial Government of Albay located at Salugan, Camalig, Albay at about 15 km. away from the City of Legazpi and with total land area of 30,050 sq. m. The Office of the Provincial Engineer headed by Engineer Dante B. baclao with his two (2) Assistants Engineer Ivan Justiniano M. Rciedo is composed of five (5) divisions namely: a) Planning and Programming Division; b) Administrative Division; c) Construction Maintenance Division; d) Equipment Pool Division; e) Quality Control Division. Each Division has vital role in the fulfillment of its objectives. The Office is responsible for the construction, improvement, rehabilitation, maintenance and repair of all provincial roads, bridges, parks and other infrastructure project financed by local and national funds. It also provides assistance to the different barangays, municipalities and other agencies including private sectors duly approved by the Governor.

Undertakes construction, improvement, rehabilitation of provincial roads, bridges, buildings, water system facilities, parks and grounds and other structures in accordance with the approved plans and specification and program of works. 2. Maintain and repair all provincial roads, bridges, buildings, parks and grounds in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and program of works. 3. Program plans, estimates and program of all infrastructure projects to be undertaken by the Provincial Government and to implement same upon approval and when the funds are made available for the purpose. 4. Provide administrative services, control and supervision on all engineering related activities. 5. Repair and maintenance of equipment pool for provincial government vehicles and other engineering equipment. 6. Extend assistance to other agencies, barangays and municipalities duly recommended/ approved by the governor. 7. Coordinates with other agencies involve in the prosecution of infrastructure projects and development tasks with the province. 8. Conduct all laboratory test on all projects undertaken for the Province of Albay. » Divisions/Units a.) Administrative Division - Merlita S. David, Administrator III – provide administrative services, control and supervision of the office policies and other related engineering activities. b.) Planning and Programming Division – Camilo T. Bristol, Engineer IV – In-charge of survey, work program, plans, estimates, design, ROW and investigation. c.) Quality Control Division – Ma. Leah G. Boncay, Engineer IV – In charge of all construction material testing for project implementation. d.) Construction and Maintenance Division – Pedro B. Boncay, Engineer IV – undertakes construction supervision, maintenance and repair of all infrastructure in the province. e.) Equipment Pool Division - Javier R. Rubis, Engineer IV - Take Charge of the maintenance and repair of various light and heavy equipment and other vehicles for field operations. » Services
