Performs functions pertaining to General Services as stated in the LGC – 7160 and COA – Book of Supply Management. » Function and Significance to the province and people of Albay
1. Formulate measures for the consideration of the Sanggunian and provide technical assistance and support to the governor in carrying out measures to ensure the delivery of basic services and provisions of adequate facilities pursuant to Sec. 17 of the Code and which require general services expertise and technical support services. 2. Develop plans and strategies and upon approval thereof by the Governor, implement the same particularly those related to general services supportive of the welfare of the inhabitants which the Governor is empowered to implement and which the Sanggunian is empowered to provide. 3. Take custody and be accountable for all properties, real or personal, owned by the LGU and those granted to it in the form of donation reparation, assistance and counterpart of joint projects. 4. With the approval of the Governor assign building or land space to local officials or other public officials, who by law are entitled to such space. 5. Recommend to the Governor the reasonable rental rates of private entities by the LGU; 6. Recommend to the Governor the reasonable rental rates for local government properties, whether real or personal, which will be leased to public or private entities by the LGU. 7. Maintain and supervise janitorial, security, landscaping and other related services in all public buildings and other real property, whether owned or leased by the LGU. 8. Collate and disseminate information regarding prices, shipping and other costs of supplies and other items commonly used by the LGU. 9. Perform archival and record management with respect to records of offices and departments of the LGU. 10. Perform all functions pertaining to supply and property management creation, maintenance and disposal. 11. Be in the frontline of general services related activities such as the possible or imminent destruction or damage records, supplies, properties and structures and the orderly and sanitary clearing or waste materials or debris, particularly during and in the aftermath of manmade and natural calamities or disaster. 12. Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as maybe prescribed by law of ordinance.
» Divisions/Units * Procurement Division – facilitates procurement of goods and service required by the various departments of the PGA including the municipal and district hospitals. Property Division – Facilitates inventory of all PGA properties such as buildings, motor vehicles, office equipments, etc. Likewise the registration of motor vehicles, insurance of buildings, licensing of firearms. Safekeeping and disposal of unserviceable properties, equipments and the like. Contact Person: Ma. Carmela R. Eva 3. Maintenance Division – foremost of its duties and responsibilities is the repair and maintenance of office facilities such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry and janitorial services. A utility crew acts promptly on various requests which pertains to minor repair and maintenance wok and other general services related activities. Contact Person: Engr. Conrado L. Sarion 4. Record and Archives Division ( Administrative Div.) - this division takes charge in the safekeeping of all documents and records. Likewise, it deals with personnel and other administrative functions. Inventory of all government properties such as land, buildings, motor vehicles, equipment. 3. Safekeeping and disposal of unserviceable properties. 4. Insurance and registration of all government properties (land, buildings, motor vehicles). 5. Repair and maintenance of office facilities; janitorial services and other general services related activities.
